Miguel Ibarra was born in the mid-1960s in the iconic neighborhood of Polanco, Mexico City. He pursued higher education in Vancouver, BC, where he studied Philosophy and Chemistry, before completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in Mexico. He has spent the majority of his professional life as a freelance information technology specialist, while maintaining a deep personal interest in history, philosophy, and the film arts.

A firm believer in personal commitment and open communication, Miguel has embraced a life guided by his convictions — supporting four stepchildren across two long-term partnerships built on those same values.

Over the past decade, Miguel has developed a focused interest in sacred geometry and alternative healing solutions, particularly in the application of electromagnetic frequencies and photon biomodulation therapies. He is committed to contributing to the responsible dissemination and proper use of these modalities as viable alternatives in health and wellness.

Miguel relocated from Mexico City to Tulum, driven by the conviction that living in close proximity to the natural elements is the path back to balance in both mind and body.

With a father from Madrid and a mother from Curaçao, she grew up steeped in the fiery passion of Spain and the soulful rhythm of the Caribbean, spending her days at an international school that felt like a playground of cultures, tasting exotic dishes, celebrating unfamiliar traditions, and soaking up the beauty of diversity.

That spark never dimmed. Andrea has called six countries home, each move a thrilling leap into the unknown. She knows the rush of landing somewhere new, the challenge of finding your bearings, and the quiet joy of turning an unfamiliar atmosphere into your own.

Today, as a real estate and relocation specialist, she channels that passion into helping others find their place in the world, hunting down the perfect home, smoothing the path to a new country, and making the journey as exciting as the destination.

John Scatcherd is a Sales Manager at Oakwood Resort, based in Canada, where he specializes in the lodging and resort industry. With a career rooted in hospitality and customer service, John brings a comprehensive skill set to every facet of his role — from developing strategic sales plans and managing client relationships to analyzing market trends and optimizing revenue opportunities. He ensures seamless guest experiences through efficient coordination of resort services, consistently driving growth and profitability for the organization.

Prior to his current position, John served as Co-Owner of a hospitality venture, where he developed the entrepreneurial acumen and operational insight that continue to define his approach. Known for his ability to navigate complex negotiations, adapt to shifting market conditions, and lead and mentor high-performing teams, John communicates effectively across all levels — from guests to executive leadership.

Dr. Ricardo Pérez

Dr. Ricardo Pérez is a board-certified orthodontic specialist with more than three decades of clinical experience, recognized for combining scientific excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to transforming smiles through precise, evidence-based orthodontic treatment while embracing the latest advances in dental technology.

He was among the first orthodontists certified to provide Invisalign® treatment in 2001, and has remained at the forefront of digital orthodontics ever since. His practice integrates 3D CBCT imaging, digital treatment planning, and advanced biomechanics to deliver predictable, efficient, and highly personalized care for both adolescents and adults.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Pérez has contributed to the education of future orthodontists and remains committed to lifelong learning through continuing education and international professional conferences. He is an active member of several national and international orthodontic organizations.

Dr. Pérez is the founder of Playa Smiles, a multidisciplinary dental clinic located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where he leads a team dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to both local and international patients. The clinic is known for combining advanced technology, ethical standards, and personalized treatment in a welcoming environment.

Giving back to the community is an essential part of his professional mission. Dr. Pérez actively supports programs that provide specialized care for children born with cleft lip and palate and continues to promote collaborations with organizations and sponsors to expand access to life-changing treatment.
